Cyan, magenta, yellow and black carry a strong association with graphic design and print. I use that visual reference as a character for a digital interface. The screen itself still displays colour through its own digital colour system.

The palette needs a readable structure around it. Strong colour works well in accents, dividers and larger visual moments, while text needs dependable contrast. I treat the print reference as an aesthetic direction and check screen readability as a separate design decision.
