A career summary needs occasional review even when its layout stays the same. Role descriptions, links and the selection of projects can drift apart over time. I want the introduction to describe the work I can actually show today.
Reviewing the summary alongside the portfolio makes that easier. A sentence that no longer fits can be revised or removed. The aim is to maintain an accurate account of the practice rather than repeatedly adding new claims to an older paragraph.
