A mockup can show how an identity might look in context. It cannot, by itself, demonstrate that an item was manufactured or that a campaign was launched. I want that distinction to remain clear when presenting design work.
The image can still be useful if its purpose is explained. It may test scale, placement or the relationship between materials and graphics. Labelling a visualisation accurately lets the reader appreciate the design without drawing conclusions about production that the presentation cannot support.
