A portfolio does not need to contain everything I have made. I want the selection to communicate the direction of my practice and the strengths relevant to the next project. A smaller set gives each piece more room for explanation.
The choices should show useful variety without feeling disconnected. One project might demonstrate a visual system, another an interface and another an experiment. The surrounding text can make the relationship between them clear without turning the portfolio into a long archive.
